Is this programme for you?

When pigmentation won't shift, or keeps coming back

You may be noticing

  • Dark patches or uneven skin tone
  • Marks left behind after spots or irritation
  • Melasma, often after pregnancy or hormonal change
  • Pigmentation that fades, then keeps coming back

It may be right for you if

You have stubborn pigmentation that has not shifted, despite trying many different skincare products. You are ready for a specialist approach that works with your skin, not against it.

A special occasion ahead? If you would like to treat pigmentation before a wedding or big day, we recommend starting 4–9 months ahead.

What to expect

  • Pigmentation usually begins to soften from around weeks 12–16 onwards
  • A more even-looking tone over the course of your programme
  • Marks after spots usually fade faster than melasma
  • Melasma improves gradually and is kept under control with maintenance

Why we take our time

Melanin-rich skin reacts to irritation by making more pigment.

That is why harsh treatments can leave it darker. We prepare your skin first and build up gently, so your results last.

Understanding your pigmentation

How deep is your pigmentation?

How well pigmentation responds to treatment depends on how deep it sits in your skin. Understanding this is the first step in planning your treatment.

Surface pigmentation

Sits in the upper layers of your skin. It is usually easier to improve and tends to respond more quickly to treatment.

Deeper pigmentation

Sits lower down in the skin. It is harder to improve and needs a different, more gradual approach.

Mixed pigmentation

Most pigmentation is a combination of both, so you may see improvement but not complete resolution, depending on where the majority of your pigment sits.

Your UV skin assessment

During your consultation, we carry out a UV light assessment. This shows us where your pigment is lying in your skin, so we can plan the right treatments for you and set realistic expectations from the very start.

What this means for you

  • Surface pigmentation often shows more improvement within your programme
  • Deeper pigmentation improves more slowly and benefits from patience and maintenance
  • Because pigment can sit within several layers at the same time, it can take a few treatments to lift it before you start to see results
  • The length of your programme, between 16 and 36 weeks, reflects what your assessment shows
